What Qualifies for Free Shipping

The threshold is simple. The one exclusion is the part worth reading properly, because it is a legal constraint rather than a commercial choice and it is not something we could waive if we wanted to.

The threshold

Orders from one hundred dollars ship free within the United States. The total is counted on the goods in your cart, before any delivery charge is added.

There is no code to enter and no minimum quantity. Four quarter-pound bags reach the threshold exactly as one large order does, so if you are buying several forms to compare you are not penalised for splitting.

The exclusion

Vapor products are not included.

Vapor products are regulated under the federal PACT Act and cannot travel through the US Postal Service. They go with a PACT Act compliant carrier, that carrier charges for the shipment, and the charge applies whatever the order total is.

This is not a policy we chose and not one we can change. The alternative would be absorbing a carrier cost into product prices, which would mean botanical buyers subsidising vapor shipments — so the charge sits where it is incurred.

Mixed orders

If your cart holds both botanical material and a vapor product, it splits into two shipments, because no single carrier can lawfully take both.

• The botanical shipment follows the normal rule: free if that part of the order reaches one hundred dollars.

• The vapor shipment carries its own charge.

Both are shown separately in the cart before you place the order. Nothing is added at the end that you have not already seen, and you are never charged twice for the same goods.

What the cart shows you, and when

The delivery charge for every shipment in an order appears in the cart before you place it. We do not calculate shipping afterwards and we do not send a revised total.

If something in your cart cannot ship to your address at all, the cart says so at that point rather than taking the order and cancelling it later. That check reads live from the state rules, which is why it is reliable — more on that in how we pack and ship.

Reaching the threshold sensibly

A few practical notes, since the question comes up:

• A full pound of most of the range sits near or above the threshold on its own.

• Mixing forms counts as one order — powder for testing plus shredded for work is a common combination and reaches it easily.

• If a project needs everything from one batch, say so before ordering rather than building a cart that draws from two. The reasoning is in buying dye material in bulk.

• Buying ahead only helps if you can store it properly. Sealed, dry, dark, stable temperature — stripped root keeps longest.

Where it applies

United States only. All shipping on this site is domestic; we do not ship internationally and do not quote for it.

Larger orders are quoted differently

Wholesale and bulk pricing does not use this threshold. Volumes beyond the listed sizes are quoted by a person on the wholesale page, including delivery, because the price depends on quantity, batch availability and destination.

If you hold a licence, include it with the enquiry — the official certificate of analysis is issued to licensed resellers on provision of one.

If something goes wrong in transit

Free shipping does not change what happens if a parcel arrives damaged or short. The procedure, and the two photographs that matter most, are in damaged or short shipments.
